I adopted yoga as a way of life when I was desperate to recover from painful inflammation in my foot. Yoga increased my self-awareness of mind, body and spirit, and there was no going back. Practicing regular mindfulness and cultivating self-awareness was crucial to my healing. Through my unique journey, I discovered that my yoga practice was also a major tool in managing my struggle with social anxiety. I learned to breathe deeply in times of stress by bringing my yoga practice off the mat and into my daily life. Now as a mom of 2 boys, yoga is the only way I can remain sane! Without it, everything would be total chaos!
I love to share my unique take on yoga. I focus on instilling confidence, self-awareness and strength in my students all while having some fun! I have a big sense of humour and it often comes out during class.
Creating community is the best part about teaching yoga. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by so many incredible women (and men!) who are so strong, confident and aware of themselves and are willing to go outside their comfort zone for growth. That is so inspiring to me!
I have been teaching yoga classes in and around my local community of Manotick, Ontario since early 2017 and have been practicing yoga since 2011.
